Worked at several homeless shelters, detoxes, treatment and couseling centers in the DC Metro area over the last 30 years. Currently employed with: Prince George’s County Social Services, Largo, MD Dates of service: 6/2020 to Present Homeless Navigator Assists individuals and families in Prince George’s County who are who are unsheltered, engage them to establish personal rapport and trust to provide concrete services to address their immediate needs, referrals for crisis intervention, assess a client’s needs for Emergency Shelter or Supportive Housing. Refer clients to eligible mainstream services and assist in the engagement of those services while serving as a Case Manager and Housing Navigator for individuals who are moving through the process. Also assigned to assist the county Police’s COPS unit and county’s Mobile Crisis Team I formally held ACAC certification while working in substance abuse treatment and currently holding CPRS Emirtus certification status.
