Mike is the Associate Director at the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless (LICH), an Associate Professor at St. Joseph’s University and an Assistant Manager for the Council on Thoughts and Action (COTA), a re-entry peer support network focused on serving marginalized communities with high rates of poverty and crime. Prior to working at LICH, Mike managed a residential treatment center for at-risk youth. Mike is also currently a selected member of the Anti-Oppressive Leader Fellows program through Adelphi University, part of the NAEH Race Equity Network (REN), a Next Generation Advisory Council Member for the Suffolk County Legislature and has received local awards and proclamations for his efforts in addressing Veteran homelessness, street homelessness, and furthering equity in housing and health outcomes. Mike had also participated in the homeless challenge on the streets of Washington DC through the National Coalition for the Homeless before joining LICH.
